Welcome to Evolve Cost. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Evolve Cost platform. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.
Introduction
Evolve Cost is a culinary costing platform that helps restaurants and food businesses track ingredient expenses, manage recipes, and analyze profitability. These terms define the relationship between you and Evolve Cost.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to bind your business to these terms. By using the platform, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
Workspace Ownership
Each account is associated with a workspace. The person who creates the workspace is the workspace owner and has full control over billing, team members, and data. Ownership can be transferred by contacting support.
Subscription Plans
Evolve Cost offers several subscription plans with different features and limits. Plan details, pricing, and feature availability are displayed on our pricing page and may change over time. Your plan is determined by your subscription selection.
Free Trial Terms
New users may be offered a free trial with access to platform features for a limited time. Trials are intended for evaluation purposes. At the end of the trial, access may be restricted unless a paid subscription is selected. No credit card is required to start a trial.
Billing and Renewal
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance based on your selected billing frequency (monthly, 6-month, or annual). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled. Pricing changes apply to future billing cycles and will be communicated in advance.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access until the end of the period you have already paid for. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the platform lawfully and in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy. You may not misuse the platform, upload harmful content, or attempt to disrupt service.
Customer Data Ownership
You own the business data you enter into your workspace, including ingredients, recipes, pricing, and supplier information. Evolve Cost does not claim ownership of your data. Your data remains private to your workspace unless you enable support access or disclosure is required by law.
Platform Intellectual Property
Evolve Cost retains all rights to the platform, including its software, design, branding, and features. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the platform without permission.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for the decisions you make based on platform outputs. You are also responsible for managing your team members and their access levels.
Service Availability
We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, and unforeseen issues may cause temporary downtime. We will communicate planned maintenance when possible.
No Guarantee of Business Results
Evolve Cost provides operational estimates based on user-provided data. It is not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. We do not guarantee specific business outcomes, profit margins, or cost savings. You should verify all calculations and consult qualified professionals for professional advice.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evolve Cost is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid in the preceding 12 months.
Termination
You can terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or if required to protect the platform or other users. Upon termination, your data may be deleted in accordance with our Data Deletion Policy.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
